The upper age limit for the IB ACIO Selection Process 2025 is relaxable up to 40 years for departmental candidates who are Central Government Civilian employees with at least three years of regular and continuous service. This relaxation does not apply to employees of PSUs, Autonomous Bodies or Statutory Organisations.
For widows, divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands and not remarried, the age limit is relaxable up to 35 years for General candidates, 38 years for OBC and 40 years for SC/ST candidates.
Ex-servicemen are eligible for age relaxation as per the rules laid down by the Central Government. Additionally, meritorious sportspersons are granted an age relaxation of up to 5 years.
IB ACIO Recruitment 2025: Selection Process
The IB ACIO Exam 2025 is a three-staged process and candidates have to clear all the three stages to get shortlisted as a ACIO Grade II/Executive post in the Intelligence Bureau (IB).
The IB ACIO Exam 2025 Selection Process involves the following three stages:
IB ACIO Tier I Exam 2025
IB ACIO Tier II Exam 2025
IB ACIO Interview 2025
IB ACIO Tier I Exam is a written objective examination consisting of 100 questions and 100 marks. Candidates who clear the IB ACIO Tier I Exam 2025 will be called to attend the IB ACIO Tier II Exam 2025.
The IB ACIO Tier II Exam 2025 will be a written descriptive paper consisting of essay, English Comprehension and long answer type questions on current affairs, economics, socio-political issues, etc. The IB ACIO Tier II Exam 2025 will be conducted for a total of 50 marks.
Candidates who clear the IB ACIO Tier II Exam 2025 will be called for the IB ACIO Interview 2025 based on their combined performance in Tier I and Tier II Exams. Based on their performances in Tier I, Tier II and Interview marks, the IB ACIO Final Merit List 2025 for the posts of IB ACIO Grade II/Executive will be prepared.
The final selection to the post will be further subject to successful completion of character and antecedent verification followed by Medical Exam.

Each section consists of 20 questions. The total marks are 100 marks for the IB ACIO Exam 2025. It is conducted for a total of 1 hour or 60 minutes. This section consists of a total of 100 questions.

IB ACIO Recruitment 2025: Salary Structure
The candidates shortlisted for the post of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade II/Executive posts will offered a pay scale of Level 7 (₹44900 to ₹1,42,400) in the pay matrix plus admissible Central Government allowances.
